What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I predict that these stabilizers will not coincide with (at least some) Landpride implements. Some of them have very large link pin mounts, which come very close to the lift arm ears. Those stabilizers will interfere with some implements- if you consider buying these stabilizers, check that your implements will clear them.

I only have 3 things I use on the back of this little tractor when I'm not using the backhoe and they all fit with the spreader bars I installed no problem. Below are pictures of the stuff that works. There might be stuff as mentioned that won't work but these things are only attached with 2 pins so it's not a big deal to swap back to turnbuckles if needed.

Awesome! I just hit 250hrs on my SVL within 14.5 months, and that does not include the numerous hours that I have have on 4 other tractors. So I know you been busy on that seat.

At 250 hours the SVL 75 required a bit of maintenance items recently...
Pull skids and washing and degreasing the machine. Engine oil & filter, Air filters inner and outer, AC filter and 2 cabin filters, hydraulic filter, hydraulic return filter(inside tank), hydraulic breather filter, track tightening, drive oil replacement and fresh grease in the zerks. I just need to find a good way to clean the exterior windows with the limited access to them with the cage wire on the outside.

The hydraulic fluid is good for 1000hrs, it was clear, so I changed the return filter without draining the ~ 10gallon tank.

They are model PF10 I got them used cheap from Messick's they only weigh 90lbs for the set.

I'd love to have a SVL for a weekend. Between the LX2610 (22months) & LX3310 (17 months) I probably have about 480 hours.

dig. rented KX080. Of course it was the infamous machine with the 007 rental unit number. This machine always gets us into trouble.

ugh. Neighbors waterline crossed the sewer lines at a depth of 6 feet. WTF were they thinking when they did this?

Yes, those are trench cave-ins, and broken water line with a stuck valve at the curb stop. Ground was too wet, lines were too deep, and neighbors cleanout stack is right next to the one we needed to connect to.

They (not me) never should've quoted this job. Left at 9 pm after covering the trench with stringers and plywood with heavy poly. Covered the dirt mounds with poly as well. Reports were for around an inch of rain overnight/weekend. Fortunately (at least up until now) the rain has stayed to the east.

Will be back next week to finish this one.

I'm putting a row of posts on our property line. Getting the first one in place and lined up.

Didn't really want to....but had to rebuild both FEL bucket cylinders. One of them starting leaking profusely (about 1/2 mile from home). Wondered if I would get back before completely draining the reservoir (holds about 7 gallons).

Spent the morning putting in all new seals. Then topped off the fuel tank and went back to mowing. All of the sudden the tractor started sputtering badly and died! NEVER done that before. Thankfully... it started again and sputtered my way back to my shop. Just made it and as soon as I throttled down....it died again.

Figured it had to fuel related (water in diesel), so I drained about a gallon of fuel, replaced the fuel filter, bled the lines and started it. It was still rough sounding for about 5 minutes then cleared and purred as it always has the last 27 years. Happiness....again.

Last week I started turning a 4-wheeler trail into a tractor road so I can cut some softwood this winter. This section is done and cleaned up pretty well.

1. Plowed up some Potatoes this morning.

2. Then snuck in a mow/brush hog.

3. Then tilled a small patch and broadcast some winter rye. I’ve not tried that before (cover crop to till in), so will see how it goes. Hope to till under in the spring as a green manure.

About a month ago I dug a hole about 10'x16'x2' deep. I piled 6 big Thuja trees I ripped from the ground in there, along with low tree limbs I removed due to the rops height. A good pile of Cedar siding, 2x4s, 2x6s etc and tossed a tarp over it due to being extremely dry. Once the rain hit and poured for about two weeks, today it was time to torch it off. 20ft away it was too hot.

All said and done, the hole is back filled again.

Finally getting some rain in the forecast. Seeded some dead areas and put straw down. Dingo thought it was bedding for him.

Ran downspout drains underground today. Basically cut a V with the bucket to lay the pipe in. Dropped in 3" of recycled concrete underneath the pipes. This pic is of the sump pump drain I decided to re route. Guess it was a good thing. Not sure how the original line got kinked so badly. Guessing it happened when they did final grade around the house.
For those that are wondering, the dog leg connection up against the house is two 45° fittings that are offset to accommodate the angle I needed to go downhill. I needed about 120° to go from perpendicular to the house to follow the grade.

Last week I used the tractor to rip up about 1/4 acre of lawn that the previous owner was never able to grow grass on. No wonder, it was all sandy pebbles & stone.
After ripping it I spread 10 yds of top soil and 120lbs of limestone all with the box blade.
Of course we had torrential rains the last few days but today it is finally dry and I took a look to see if there was any growth.

Still plenty of pebbles. . . The wind / rain took down a fair amount of leaves that I need to blow off once everything dries.

Normally, I thought, rape/turnips/oilseed radish were planted for that purpose?

Wheat, Oats, and rye are pretty common here. I think a lot depends on how wanting to the use the cover crops and the season when planting. This is a trial run for me…I’ve been fiddling with wheat but not much success.
