Zg222 15A “main system” keeps blowing

Recently tried to jump off my zg222 with my golf cart but had the battery cables hooked backwards. Now the 15A main system fuse blows the moment I turn the ignition to “on”. All other fuses are in tact, and I can’t find a short in any of the wires. I’m at a loss

Have you tried unhooking battery for a while?

I'm afeared you done gone and cooked the alternator or melted insulation off a wire. Examine wires for burnt insulation and if non is found unhook wires from alternator to see if fuse no longer blows. If that doesn't work post back so we can help you dig deeper.

I have, several days even. Still blows the moment I hook it up and turn the key

I would start with tracing wires in the rectifier circuit, and/or. The rectifier itself. This is what actually does the charging. Good chance you melted wiring going to it or the rectifier. It should be under the top engine cover, runs off the top of the crank shaft.

How long was battery hooked up backwards?
If you check voltage in the battery is it showing pos or neg. There is a chance your battery has been reversed polarity. Try another battery.
