Water is in. Septic will most likely be done tomorrow. Looks like he just needs to dig and run the line from the tank to the leach field.

Nice. Just be sure you have enough hose there for him to put water in the septic tank. You sure don't need it floating out!

It lookes like that's what he did already. He has a garden hose hooked to the water spigot. So, I'm assuming he filled the tank after he set it.

Water is done. Septic is done.

Electrician installed the temporary pole/ meter box today. He still needs to trench 100ft to install the RV pedestal and hook up power to the septic pump. I told him as long as it was done in the next two weeks, I would be good with that.

Power company is having their contractor take down a tree and trim another one back on the edge of the driveway. And then installing 3 poles.

So I'll have some homework one night after work to clear out the brush.

Too bad they wouldn't let you run the electrical feed underground, it's nice when you don't have overhead wires to worry about.
But congratulations on getting it all done!

Yes, around here the power company would set a transformer at a predetermined location near the home. The home owner would trench a conduit from the pole out near the road to that transformer and then from the transformer to the meter can at the house. The benefit is not storm damage to power lines.

That's understandable. Here Evergy bought out KCP&L a couple of years ago. When that happened Evergy says all conduit has to be 3" no matter the service. Even at Home Depot 2" sch 40 is nearly $3 a foot and 3" is nearly $9 a foot. Don't even look at sch. 80 for risers!

Like Daren said - - 99.5% of rural homes around here are overhead. Too much $$ to run conduit.

Heard PVC and copper wire are out-of-sight.

Apparently Lowes has their wire under lock and key now. Coworker said they wanted $250 for a 100' roll of 12/3, if I got it right. He got 10/3 and 12/3 for much less online.

On the other hand, lumber is at or below pre-COVID prices.

Thankfully haven't needed any of them this year.

I was in lowes today to price our decking for easy access to the camper. They don't have any lumber prices posted on the racks

At least home depot had the stones to post their prices and let you know how much your getting screwed

Camper got delivered today. It was a little nerve wracking making the corner into the property

Got the deck almost finished. I need to pick up 3 more bundles of 1x2 slats for the railing. And probably 3 lbs of decking screws.

We left the one side open for access to the storage under the camper. Specifically, there is an outlet I need access too for this winter to plug in the heated water line.

I also left the one post high on purpose. We don't have any outside lights on the camper. So I'm looking for something preferably solar and remote operated so we can turn it on and off as needed.

Electrician finished up Tuesday. Power company installed poles and meter thrusday

Got the water line hooked to the camper. Tested all the electricians stuff, and hooked the camper up to power.

Finished tying in the septic line to the camper.

As well as finished the deck. Gonna pick up take out for dinner tonight. And then run gypsy out and let her check out the camper as well as her new property. Probably gonna be lots of sniffing involved

Brought gypsy out to get her used to the camper. Got some take out on the way and had our first meal in the camper.
