What if you're a passenger?I abhor using the phone whilst driving.......and I think it should be illegal....it's 100% total bullsh!t and dangerous..
However this type of oversight is troubling to me.
"The Man" has too much control already.
It seems like just a "round about" way to tax/spy on people.
Why not make all phones unable to call or text, once a speed of 5 mph is detected?
There's an argument that these cameras are tools used by the police. You want to take tools away from cops?Provide safety to the nations citizens with a strong military, and thru local police.

What next, ban police from carrying guns, using radar, and driving fast vehicles?
These cameras don't bother me because I choose to NOT use my phone while driving. I'm too busy avoiding collisions from dumbasses crossing double lines into oncoming traffic, tailgating, and weaving in the lanes because they are clueless, incompetent and have a false sense of self importance.
Not in my experience. There is no practical difference between talking to someone/kids in the vehicle vs a phone. It’s just another law that doesn’t make sense made by people who want simple solutions for complex problems.

I won't disagree, the more crap we put in cars the more things there are to distract us.There is no practical difference between talking to someone/kids in the vehicle vs a phone. It’s just another law that doesn’t make sense made by people who want simple solutions for complex problems.
There are lots of ways to be distracted including using Apple CarPlay, Navigation, heating/cooling, etc.
