We purchased a nice little L2201 (similar to a L245?). 1200 hours, original tires and rims...yup...looked great until they were low on air and you can see all the age cracks in them.
Anyway, put new tires on the existing rims in the back as the rims are in good shape.
The fronts...not so much. One side has a bent rim (ran into a big rock?), the has lots of stress fractures around the bolts.
So, couple questions.
First is why would there be lots of stress fractures in one and none in the other?
2nd, can I turn the wheel to the offset is reversed...this puts the tire a few inches further out from the spindle (extra stress?)...puts the bent rim on the outside where I can monitor it.
Stock is 4.0/12 with 3.5" pilot, 4 bolt (1/2"?), bolts are 3-1/4" apart...4-5/8 on the diagonal...currently 3 rib.
I'm thinking I could put a different size in the front being a 2 wheel drive (as long as it doesn't affect the spindles?).
So, any thoughts where to purchase such an item?
