Hi All,
I want to install a coolant temp gauge on my B7100hst. Has anyone installed one? Also where did you put the gauge sensor. Any help would be appreciated. If you have any pictures that would be great too. Thank you in advance.

In the process of doing this myself on my B7200HST. If your D750 is like my D950, there is a M16x1.5 plug in the cylinder head that is perfect for this. Autometer sells the correct plug adapter too. Not sure if you're going electric or mechanical. I opted for mechanical....

Hi N3BP, I really appreciate the response. Thankfully my B7100 has a D950 in it from the previous owner so this will work out excellent. Did you find your Autometer gauge on Amazon or at the auto parts store.
Thanks Again

I ordered everything from Summit Racing. $ 163.87 for the gauge, pod, and adapter shipped to my door.

If you have an idiot light couldn't you simply add a sender for the gauge? Then keep the light as well with T fitting or such?

yeesh $160 . I must be getting 'frugal' at 70...... can buy analog gauge/sender for $20 , or digital for $10.
crazy when digital is cheaper and more accurate.....
RAD hose 'adapter sleeves' are about $10 as well.

No idiot light light for water temp on any of the older B series, just the sound of the radiator cap opening!

Had a chance to install the gauge tonight. Pretty simply and straight forward. I'm curious to see how it reads compared to my other B7200 that has an electric water temp gauge. Usually runs 160-170 degrees.

A B7100 had a whistle and nothing more. ;)

They originally had a whistle.
Yeah my L2350DT came with just a 'whistle'.

That was just a little too rudimentary for me.

Don't need to know when the system is already so hot it is making steam and boiling over.

Better to be able to 'monitor' it in real time.

So added an analog temp gauge to the dash.

Good thing to have on days like yesterday here (108°F).
