Is there anything more relaxing than this? After a week of work (desk job), I sit on the backhoe and sort rocks.

Therapy !
Yep. At my place it's called "tractor therapy ".
The stress of life goes away little by little with every operation of the K.

Instant gratification, as opposed to waiting for your works results in a mediation meeting or corporate evaluation.

Move rocks, dirt, or dig trenches ... instant gratification.

Leads to serious orange K addiction. Wife loves her rocks and flowers and thinks me getting a backhoe with thumb pure genius. Win win.

Size and shape. Big useless rocks here, big square, big flat, small square ....
Would make nice fire pit rocks! I've been trying to find local ones like that someone wants to part with. Problem is, everyone wants stupid $$ for them. I live too close to fancy pants town where folks will shell out $1-2 per pound (plus delivery) and landscape with them.

I have a 800+ foot fieldstone fence 4+ feet high right up here in PA, am I rich? I'm thinking about a million plus delivery. The closer to DC, the higher the price.

My wife's grandmother lives in the valley! Plenty for sure! It sure would be nice, but the cost of diesel to haul it back 15,000 lbs at a time would be astronomical!
There is actually quite a bit of granite, gneiss and dolomite here. I've thought about scavenging road construction sites. Thing is, they harvest what they blast when making roads. Then crush it in site for the base layer. It's an efficient process, but doesn't leave much for us vultures!
