2022 MX6000 - So I thought my right side oil pan drain plug was leaking. Wrong, after replacing it, the drip is still there. Upon further inspection, it seems oil is working its way down the right side of the oil pan, running across the bottom and dripping from the drain plug.
Has anyone had this issue? Any idea where the oil is coming from?

Wipe everything clean, then wait till it starts dripping oil again.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I did wipe it down, ran it for a while and could only chase it so far. It seems to slow or stop after a while so I'm think when I run it and the oil heats up and thins is when it starts to leak. It's under warranty but have to run it over mountain about 2 hours away to dealer. Hoping for an easy fix to take care of it myself.

Again, thank you.

Can you tell if it's engine oil or hydraulic oil?

Great point, oil was just changed and it's hard to tell at this point. Leaning towards engine oil as it seems to be working down to oil pan from right side of motor.

I was just wondering if any hydraulic oil was migrating from the loader connections over to the engine but it seems unlikely.

Maybe you have a bad o-ring on the oil filter. Not sure what model you have, but my MX6000 cab tractor has the oil filter on the right side of the engine but I forget which side it was on for the MX6000 open station that I sold. I know the oil dipstick is on opposite sides but not sure about the filter. Worth checking since filter o-rings have been known to get cut or be damaged in some way.

Oil filter is on the right side but up front. It looked ok as did the dipstick.

You and you alone are going to have to track it down. Start from the top, get a good flashlight! You will be amazed just how gravity will snake a drip of oil all kinds of ways down to the ground.

Is the oil black or is the oil clear/ brown?
If it isn't black it's not engine oil it's more likely hydraulic oil.
If it engine oil: On the right side is the engine oil separator, the oil cooler, either could be leaking.
If it's hydraulic oil, well there is a lot of hydraulic going on over there, so could be a multitude of issues.

Great info, thank you. That's something I'll have to take a closer look at this weekend.

Like jyoutz said, clean it up and watch.

Some have said talcum power helps locate small leaks.
