I have not researched this to know if adding rear remotes (like the BX2380) is possible. The dealer told me there is nothing offered through Kubota for the 23s due to the backhoe.

Not knowing if the same kit offered for the 2380 will work, I'm asking if anyone has added it to theirs, or if there are kits available.

Thanks.

I have it's bigger brother and have both on my LX2610. In the brochure does it have the slots for rear remotes in the pictures? I did find this Youtube
video

Also found this kit on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/275442148415
Neither are factory I think, as I just did a quick google search as I was curious.
So I am going to say yes it is, just might not be pretty like factory, unless you can fabricate it.

The link to the video I watched before, when I planned to get the BX2380. I'm currently watching right now, again.

As for it not available for the 23S via Kubota, now I understand why. It's due to the way Kubota has routed it, not that it can't be done.

I'm not concerned with it being factory, I want functionality.

Thanks for hopping in here with your thoughts and link to the kit (ouchie) I am not sure about the slots on the tractor as I don't see anything in the brochure, have not taken possession of, or laid eyes on it.

Since the BX2380 and BX23s are 'sisters' and share a LOT of the parts, the '2 rear remote kit' should plumb in except for the actual hard lines to the couplers. someone years ago used flex lines and mounted the 'gang of 4 remotes' on the outer side of the ROPS frame.
I was interested in doing it 3-4 years ago, kinda lost interest, BH has never been off....3PH never out of the box.

On the LX2610 it is a factory kit, but after a couple years one of the pipes was rubbing on the subframe for the backhoe, I tweaked it, and then found out about the recall for it(new pipe routing).
Here is a kit from Summit that I would trust as everything I have gotten for them works as it should. Just don't know what I think of the remote control.

I'm not sure if I'll go through with it (likely will), but knowledge of the components may spark my further interest. I would really like the top/tilt functionality for use on dumping a trailer and use on a box blade.

Thanks for hopping into my topic.

You are the 2nd one to suggest this kit. What is it that's funky (the thought being electric is odd) about the remote? Can you post a couple pictures of it?

I am saving up for a actual dump truck or a trailer that is self-contained dump. So I could use the backhoe and scoop into trailer. I am sure some members have done this, we just have to keep posting to keep it current.

The rear remote is like a snow plow remount as it is not mounted. In the picture look at the black control that is is the center of picture slightly right. My controls are levers on the right side of seat behind the three point control lift. If I remember correctly my old BX2370 had slots for the rear remotes in the same spot.

I've looked for a top-view of the 2380. The 2380 does have the slots. There's not much out there worth viewing. I'll try searching for the 23s, but it will likely come up with the same nothing. (Shrug)

This has been covered at length in previous threads.

The Kubota factory kit DOES NOT work on the BX23s. The mounting brackets and plumbing are incompatible with the backhoe frame and hydraulic connections. It can be modified but it requires LOTS of work.

You can easily add a third party valve to the backhoe circuit. An inexpensive 2 spool manual valve will work just fine. You just need to find a place to mount it and the outlets. Plumbing is easily accomplished with hoses and a few standard off the shelf hydraulic adapters.

Bare with me, as I still have lots of trouble as I'm trying to figure out how to search the forum. LOL. If the topic has been covered (I figured), point me in the right direction, and this thread can be swiped off the table.

The price is reasonable enough. Like you say, find the best mounting so it makes sense from an operators perspective. Hmmm.

Thanks for your response.

Here is a thread that covers adding a third party valve to the backhoe circuit.

I also added a link to another thread that details the fitment problems with retrofitting the BX2380 to the BX23s. It's not just a matter of rerouting a couple hard lines. It requires some significant alteration to the tractor.
