My gearbox only has 540 hours on it and is worn out. Oil is full, never ran low. I need a replacement quick. I was going to get an off brand that I see for some Kubutas and rebuild the one I have. I need to get back mowing soon. Does anyone know where I can get a generic gearbox assembly? I see them for other mowers, but haven't found one for this model. It is a RCK60B23bx Thanks for any help.

Are you sure rebuilding it wouldn’t be the best option?

Think he wants to rebuild it, just not right now. Has the OP reached out to the Kubota dealership about renting a deck? Also how is it worn out? Have you checked here? Also it would be more helpful if you had a part number.

Probably, after looking at it, I think it the pully holder that mounts on the deck. I didn't realize that has a bearing in it. I think that is the problem.

I hope you get your issue resolved quickly.

I keep thinking that by the time you would find a replacement and get it on hand to install it, that you might already have had the gearbox rebuilt yourself and installed and ready to go.

nothing comes easy… As the expression goes…

A bit of grease in that bearing via the zerk might be enough to keep you going?

I have it all off the mower. I put the pulley holder on the sfaft and the bearing wobbles. I am going to get new bearings and seals. Thanks!

That sounds good. I'd have thought the gearbox and the pulley bearing are very separate - if you can get away with just replacing the pulley bearing and greasing it, that'll be way better than having to rebuild the gearbox. I can't see why a machine with that few hours would need a gearbox rebuild.
