Sealing gaps in mulch kit?

BX2380 with 60" MMM deck. Just got the kit but haven't drilled the holes yet. I noticed some gaps left between the insert baffles and mower deck. Even after full install (drilling and bolting it down) there will be gaps. Has anyone put some sort of sealant down to bridge those gaps? Seems like finely mulched debris would get up under that kit into the hollow space between...making you have to remove the kit to fully clean the mower deck.

I noticed this same thing with the mulch kit on my 48***8221;. When I removed the baffles after less than 10 uses due to poor performance it was packed solid with debris which would eventually rot the deck out if it got wet. I***8217;m very disappointed with the design of the mulching kit all mine did was blow everything out the front of the deck and get me and the tractor covered every time I mowed.

mulching mowers only work ,reasonably well, sort of, when cutting 1 inch of dry grass... antything taller or wetter...useless.

The mulch kit design is a screwy designed waste of money. Why it was made the way it is makes no sense at all.

The fact the grass gets packed in between "should have" signaled the designers as the design being a HARD FAIL.

Apparently they have no R&D experience, or they're sipping too much Saki.

Deere has it figured out.

When I was stationed in Japan, I tried to sneak a bottle of "Habu Sake" back into the states....Fail!...

There is some "Customs Officer" somewhere that has a very cool bottle of MY "Habu Sake"
