I have been having the blades to stop turning on my BX1800 after mowing for about 30 minutes. It mows fine up until you start approaching that time and start running into heavy grass. You can slow way down and it will still mow some but eventually will stop all together. The drive shaft just stops turning. I have been told the clutch may need rebuilding. Just the other day I noticed that the deck leaks down in a while after you shut the mower down. There is no hydraulic fluid leaking anywhere I can see. Could the mower blade issue be related to whatever is letting the deck hydraulic leak down?

I am gonna ask the obvious question -

Have you checked fluid level?

Last filter change? Fluid change?

What fluid type was used? Kubota S-UDT2? or another type?

Pull the PTO shaft off - look at it very carefully, and chance something is wrong there?

The leak down over time, I do not think it an issue.

Did you check the belt my guess is the shaft is turning but the deck belt is slipping when the belt gets hot

I had thought that it might be the clutch plates or something related to the PTO that drives the blades but was hoping for something less involved. Even when the blades slow down the lift hydraulics and power steering seem to work fine. Also, the mower forward and reverse still works as usual. Any suggestions on what to look for or your best estimate on what could be wrong would be greatly appreciated.
