BX2230 Wheel bolt pitch

First time posting here and really my first tractor BX2230 so I'm stoked to be here. I have a quick question... I ran over a roofing nail on my new property and it gashed the tire pretty bad. As a result I had to get a whole new tire. When I loosed the lug nuts it seemed like it dragged a bit but it wasn't too bad.

Trying to put the wheel on today and it's stripped. 3 out of the 4 lug bolts went in fine but the 4th it made it about half way in which is odd.

I'm hoping ONLY the lug bolt is the problem but I'm worried the actual hole on the axle my by jacked up too. I ordered the bolt and I believe it says 9/16 but I have no clue what the actual pitch or threads per inch is so I can order a new tap if needed. It looks like 9/16x18 but I'm not sure and I'd love some confirmation.

Can you take out one of the other good ones and check it for size and pitch?

If not the wheel you’re working on, I’m quite sure the other side will be the same…

They are 9/16" 18TPI.

Chase both the bolt and hub threads with a correct size thread restorer, taps are for cutting threads.

This could be great advice! I never thought about it, but perhaps a thread restorer would push some metal back into position, whereas running a tap through the same threads might cut off distorted metal. Net result is a thread restorer may do a better job.

I have "chased" so many buggered holes with both I have lost count and unless the thread fit is unusually demanding I don't think it really matters. Taps definitely do a better job of cleaning out rust and dirt. I have a much more extensive inventory of taps so that is what gets used most often,

If you are a purist maybe a thread forming tap is the way to go.
