Hi. I have an M5091 due to change hydraulic filters but not the oil, as per scheduled service interval. I’m hoping to do this without having to drain and refill the 60l of oil and with as little mess and spill as possible.
Does anyone know an easy way to do this or at least how much I need to take out so it won’t flow when I remove the filters? I’m guessing it doesn’t all have to be removed.
I was thinking to park on a slope to make things easier to start with.

Thanks

I've parked on a slope then use the FEL to lift it a little higher, put blocks under the wheels, then change the filters. Some pull a vacuum on the fill hole then change the filters. After changing top off the fluid. I assume you're using UDT2 fluid.

Yes I’m using UDT2 if needed but hopefully most of what I take out goes back in.
On my model M5091, the filters are located on the right hand side of the gearbox, so I would have to tilt the tractor to the left, not lift the front.
What is involved to pull a vacuum and does that stop any oil coming out or still makes for a messy change?
So far, I’m still leaning to drain until lower than filter level, then refill.

I used a shop vac to pull a vacuum on my L2501. The threads on my fill point were one inch NPT so creating an adapter was fairly simple. Any way you do it you'll lose some fluid. There's fluid in the filter as well as a little behind it which will drain. I bought a gallon of SUDT2 to top up as required. I think I used about half of it.
