So about a month ago, I did what I read a lot about and replaced the BX hydraulic connection with four individual connections. I ran it once since then. No problem. I used it today for some back scraping for about 45 minutes. It’s leaking every bit as bad as it was before. Where do I go from here? Would the bottom part of the connector cause this?
It’s possible it’s the places I connected the new parts. They are cranked down tight though. I know you use thread tape for water lines. Is there something like that for hydraulic lines?

Npt hydraulic fittings require tape or Teflon sealant. O-ring fittings must have the O-ring in place on the male end. The two are not interchangeable even though they will often thread together. The npt fittings are a tapered thread and the o-ring fittings are straight threaded. Mixing will result in a pretty big leak. Oh, you can't tighten a npt fitting enough without sealant/Teflon tape on it to keep it from leaking.

I should clarify. They are not interchangeable at the connection to the hydraulic hose. A standard ISO hydraulic fitting would connect to any other standard ISO fitting it's just how they attach to the hose that you have to worry about.

The parts are correct. It just seems they are leaking a bit. They are on extremely tight. It doesn’t seem to leak until I start working it. When I was scraping it leaked. I cleaned it all up, tightened it all up, and it was fine until I started scraping again. Two passes, and I had hydraulic oil dripping. The whole fitting up to the first threads had oil on it. It’s not spurting out anyplace so it seems like it has to be coming from the threads.

Ok, I used a thread lock that was specifically for hydraulic lines, they are still leaking. What am I doing wrong? I’ve got a road to fix but I don’t want to use my tractor until this leak is fixed. As far as I can tell, all four connections are still leaking. Do I just need to wrench them down tighter?

I'd be very careful of overtightening.

The FEL quick-connect feature often leaks at the couplers. You tried to fix that.

I'm a little confused where the leak(s) are from now.

Is it leaking from the couplers again, or at the joints from the couplers to the hose/piping?

Might need to clean up/dry the current spillage, and try again just to pin-point the source. A little bit of brake cleaner will clean it up and then dry it off.

Could be as simple as a o-ring damaged on the female side of the coupler.

Also, if you replaced just one half of the connection, e.g., just the male or female side of the connection, are the two compatible? Not all are....

A couple pictures would be helpful.

This is what I put on it. There are two connections that just screw together in the circled part. One of them, possibly both are leaking on all for lines.

Take the fittings apart and post a picture of each end, I'm wondering if your putting 2 different fittings together.

Are you certain the male/male fitting has the right style compression fitting? I suspect the threads could be correct, but the tip might not fit the female side correctly? Just a WAG.

It looks the same. That is the fitting I read was needed on the website but I’m not 100% sure.
Well something’s leaking. I’d be surprised if it was the tapered pipe thread on the other end. I think you said you used some sort of pipe dope.

What are NPT and BPT?
Two differrent and incompatible pipe threads

BPT = British Pipe Thread
NPT = National (US) Pipe Thread

Kubota is made in Japan where BPT is the standard they use. I am not saying you mixed them up but you probably should consider the possibility.

This is the fitting:
Fitting
It does say NPT.
Are you sure that would be wrong though? It threads in perfectly.
Plus, I can’t find a fitting with the same dimensions in EPT.
According to this thread I have the right gear:
