Old B7100 iol dipdsick

I've have had this machine for a bizion years. I change the oil probably more than I need too. That's OK, I have a use for it. But the manual. ect, I have never got an answer. The darn dipstick:

What is the fill level I should aim for? I have always split the difference across the dipstick in the middle. But what is this stick and what is the proper fill level? Obviously not a problem over the 35 years I've had the critter that I god 2nd hand. Its an ancient B7100 manual, 1980 +/- a few years. Still runs great. Mobile1. Smokes a bit.... Zero oil usage. It will outlive me. Loader and BH, and a myriad of 3 point stuff. It's just a jewel of a machine.

But this has always been a question when I change the oil or check it.

I'd have to go look at mine, but based on your pic I'd say the two lines indicate 'Low' and 'Full'.

The question is how much oil does it take to go from Low to Full.

Looks like there are two five digit numbers (a part number?) located between the full and low marks. Nice that four of the ten digits are ones. Probably ought to fill it to the full line.

The first line from the tip is "low". The line nearest to area that goes from flat to round is "full". All in between is part number.

Maybe it's not a Kubota dipstick.

Who knows what a previous owner may have done. Measure the distance from the top of the stick to the full line. I'll measure mine tomorrow and you can compare.

My tractor takes 8 qts. At oil change time, I drain, put on new filter, add 7 qts, run, and check the level after sitting for a while. Make a score mark on the backside of the dipstick with the corner of a file. Add the last quart, wait a while, and make the full mark with the file.

Disregard all embossed markings on the front of the dipstick.

I would fill to middle. Ok if I use the number for the lottery? The number I have been using isn't working out.

I googled the # and it comes up on an English site as a dip stick for a D650 and D750 engine and also states it is suitable for a B7100 and says it is original gauge OEM
