Wow. I just pulled the spring out yesterday and was looking forward to grappling without a pop-up steering wheel! I’ll mention to my dealer and see what he says. If pulling the spring fixes the prob (which I would think it would), I may just let Kubota find my e-mail…..

Thanks for the heads-up!

Well, well, well, look at what just landed in my inbox:

Good Morning valued Kubota Customer,

I wanted to send you a quick email regarding a mandatory safety campaign on your Kubota. We are going to have a technician in your area and available to come out and make the corrections to your tractor at no cost to you. The recall work will take about an hour and it entails adding a spring to the steering wheel tilt mechanism. Please respond back to this email or give us a call at 970-535-3310 so we can set up a date and time to have a technician come make these repairs. Thank you for choosing Wickham Tractor Co. and have a great day!

Looks like Kubota has recognized a problem and is setting about fixing it!

I made an appointment for them to do it 2 weeks from now.

Wow I guess I'll be keeping an eye open for an email from my dealer. How long have you had your Kubota? Funny and sad they figured out the issue and concerned. There must be a handful of complaints to issue a recall. An hour though to change out the spring? Either way glad you're getting the issue resolved.

I got my tractor in spring 2022.

Update: my dealer finally sent a tech out to perform the recall on my LX3310 today (after 3 reschedules...).

The Kubota fix is swapping out 2 springs: a lighter spring on the steering column, and a heavier spring on the release pedal. Took the tech 15-20 minutes to complete (far less time than his drive out to my place).

We'll see how much it helps.

Haven't heard anything from my dealer yet....... they're having ALOT of turn over so I'm sure a recall on a spring is the least of their concerns. Again after running full size tractors my whole life and having to push the steering wheels up by hand it's not a big deal me but if I'd get a letter to fix it I'd take it just because of the fact that talking to sales guy on the issue " this was the 1st time her heard of that happeneding"
