My log splitter tires….not Kubota but I need help!

My log splitter tire kept going flat so I decided to have the tire guy put inner tubes in both about two weeks ago. Went into back garage today and now both tires are flat. I am tired of having keep fixing those suckers. I don’t want to put liquids in the tires, are there other options that I can try?

FYI your not putting liquid into the tire your putting it in the tube!

I posted last week about the Kubota tire sealant that is water soluble and seals both the bead and the tire.

Tire shop might be able to fill them with foam. No more flats.

Have you priced what it cost to foam fill a tire today? More than the cost of buying a new tire and rim at the list price from Kubota.

Nope. Must be pretty expensive then. I didn’t know there were precious metals in the foam.

It’s a log splitter. Are we talking about a 12 inch tire or a 14.9-26?

Took a quick Google look, foam filling makes a $100 tire cost about $200. So maybe not a super crazy solution.

WHY are you getting flats " thorns or nails ?
Are you towing splitter to trees or does it stay next to barn ?
what size tire and rim ?
If strictly for 'No Highway Service', you can buy 'flat free' tires..problem solved.

It looks "too good to be true".

My Google-Fu is weak today and I can't find out much about it, like

1. Does it actaully work?

2. How much do you put in each tire?

3. Can you use it at highway speeds. (i.e. on you trailer or truck tires)

I found it at Messicks for $82 per gallon, but would like a little more info.

Buy some new wheels and tires when your size goes on sale. You cab buy run flat tires as well.

Sounds like you have issues with your wheel rims if the inner tubes are going flat.

I agree. Solve the root cause of the problem rather than apply band aids, even if that means going with a different system. The tire without a tube "kept going flat" and now the tires with tubes "are bot flat". There might be a clue there.

I know you said that you didn't want to use liquid sealant, but I've been using TireJect on my tires and it just plain works. Everytime. I have it in my log splitter tires, Gorilla wagon tires, ATV and side by side tires. It's never failed to stop a leak. It also seals future punctures. My tires with this in it never go flat, period. I've used Slime before with moderate results, but my results with TireJect are flawless.

I only use compressed air in my tires, and it doesn't leak out.

The wheels on my 30+ year Northern Hydraulics splitter had too much weld splatter for tubes to fix dry rotting tubeless tires. Many cheap tire options. Finally ordered some Kenda brand. Easy twice as heavy built as the original. Been trouble free for 8 years now.
Nothing kills the day like a flat tire.

one possible cause for 'always going flat', it not ensuring there's the correct air pressure (or a tad more) in tubeless tires on equipment that's not often used (aka 'seasonal' ).

Thanks everyone for your comments. I bought two new inner tubes and took them this time to a different place. I only went to them because they were closer but this time I took them to the shop I get my tires from that is in town.

I spoke with the guy who will do the work and asked him to pull the tires off of both and check the wheels for anything that might cause an issue for the tubes. I feel I am in better hands now. They will also have the tires for about 10 days and if they do the work early in the week they should see any flats before I get home.
