Well this after I started to do the filters on the B, and took the MMM off and started to grease it. However one of the spindles does not have a zirk, lost never put in I duno. So Im asking are they threaded zirks or pressed fittings. This one is number 3 that has left, or never been put in. Metric most likely or SAE?

Have you tried cleaning hole out and looking for threads? No or too much trouble,then look for wrench flats on its twin or litter mates. Wrench flats pretty much says they are screwed in. Still no joy? Go to parts store and buy a pak of "universal"grease zerks. You will find common sizes with TAPERED THREADS,choose one close to your size and screw it in. Tapered threads will cut new threads as they are screwed in. Don't overtighten and risk snapping it off. If it falls out later,no big deal,just "scrutch another in". It's a safe bet most if not everything on your orange tractor is metric.
How long since you bought the tractor? First time greasing the mmm? Warranty issue perhaps? If you greased it before probably lost then.
Yeah I may not do it as often as I sould but it still gets done, so it has been lost since the last time I greased them. So I dont know if they are threaded in or pressed, either way I need to get one in the spindle
Then maybe Jaxs has the answer…unless someone else appears that knows specifically.
Could you check the parts list for the mower deck and just order a couple? Just another idea…or maybe if you have a dealer no too far away they may have them in stock? Just thinking out loud….
Your mower deck is USA produced,and therefore will have standard fittings.
Most likely fitting would be 1/4 x 28 Taper.

Usually takes a 5/16" socket or wrench,or maybe 9/32".

You can got to about any auto parts store (or harbor fgt) and buy an assortment of grease fittings for just a few bucks. Then you have multiple choice, metric or SAE.

The zerk in almost all RCK decks is a NIPPLE, GREASE M6*1.0. The deck is all metric hardware.
I’d pull the zerk out of the other side and get a matching one.
You’ve had three zerks from this location come up missing, three zerks on this deck (it only has five, not counting the driveline zerks), or three on the tractor since you bought it. Regardless, that’s too many zerks to be leaving on their own accord.

That would be a conundrum if true. Messicks does not think they are sealed bearings. Picture of a RCK60-32 spindle bearing, part number 08101-06205, from their website.

Ok,so you are convinced fittings were originally pressed in and don't want to ruin originality of your equipment by using self threading fittings suggested earlier. If you mic the hole to third decimal then tell us size we can look for fittings sized to press fit and tell you how to get them.

Yeah…that depicted is not a sealed bearing. I have two mower decks which have zerks on the spindles…..I greased them ….and within 2 months one seized…. opening it up …. showed them to be sealed bearings. I found a number imprinted on the seal… googled it….found a chinese bearing copy…sold by the dozen online…..pressed one onto the shaft and returned the spindle to service. A year later it’s still doing fine.
The other deck also seized a bearing and I replaced it also. 6 mos now doing fine. I don’t think the zerks are for anything but “show” on those mowers. (BETSTCO brand finish mowers)

I will simply note that had you bothered to replace the sealed bearings with open ones the zerks on your Betstco deck would now be functional.
Returning now to the previously scheduled programming - zerks on Kubota mower decks......

Were you using a bottom tap? Normal (non-tapered pipe tread) taps have lead section that starts the cutting nice and gentle. A bottom tap has a much shorter transition. Regardless, with only about 3/16 inch of tapered tread length, it’s pretty hard to make a good guess at the tread size, pitch, taper.
As mentioned above, a Harbor Freight selection will help you sort it out. As I mentioned above, if you pull the zerk off the other spindle, you could likely match up a new one.

Many people's writing styles are different, and calling him out publically because you disagree with how he presented, will do nothing but drive him away. I believe that the forum is all-inclusive and beneficial to all that frequent it. When you disagree with a person's writing style, possible a better way would be to notify the moderators and let them deal with it. That's their place to make the determination.
