So here's the short story. I tripped getting up on to my running B7800 HST, fell onto seat, hard, and hit the reverse pedal. Tractor died and won't crank. Checked seat switch. Ran the shifting/PTO levers through their steps. Cycled the forward and reverse pedals. As of today, I used the truck to pull it out from under the tree trunk it was holding (Thinking there may be a safety switch in the linkage the was bound up by the not moving tractor. Out of ideas, from here. Anybody got any? Thanks.

You'll have to check each safety switch individually.
Some models have 2 seat switches and one always gets overlooked.

Try to hold the key in the start position and move the hydrostatic pedal to forward and then backwards position slowly and see if it tries to start.

You might want to replace the seat switch since it might be damaged internally and not letting t tractor start.

Start with the basics though and see if it cranks by jumping power from the battery cable on the starter to the solenoid tab (probably a black wire with white stripe). But be very cautious and careful because the tractor could start and run over you in the worst possible situation.

If the starter cranks then you need to figure out what is stopping the power from the key to the starter solenoid

A lot of great ideas. Will work on them in the AM and let you know. Thanks

I have the B7800 machine and have come to know the hydro-static pedal neutral safety switch not finding the position for neutral was / is a common problem. As stated above, rock the pedal back and forth (doesn't take much) to see if that switch indicator is the issue. There is a grease zerk under the foot board that is for that moving connection at the switch.

You can temporarily bypass the seat switch to test.

Make sure the hi / lo shift lever is fully in the proper position.

There is also the clutch pedal that has a safety switch.

Best on the solution.

My L2501 has a fuse in series with all of the interlocks.
Possibly your fall caused a temporary short and blew the fuse.

Put a new seat safety switch on. No progress. Tried moving levers and pedal. No luck. Is the switch at the pedal (Grease zerk) visible? Can't seem to find it. Thanks for what you've suggested. Still fiddling.

Do you have dash light?
Do you have head light's / work lights?
Does it make any noises when you turn the key?

Check fuses, 5 amp OPC fuse will do exactly what your describing.
If you understand that I have spent most of the week trying multiple things to get it running, only to frustratingly fail, you will understand this response.......YOU NAILED IT!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU. THANK YOU!!!! It was a pesky 5 amp fuse labeled KEY STOP. I thank you very much. Now my Wife can get back to work moving logs.
