Started my day with a flat on the Mrs. vehicle. Has a piece of steel wire in it, close to sidewall. Might be new tire territory.

Thankfully left rear where I had plenty of room where it sat with floor Jack and pneumatic impact.

Good thing happened at home ‘cuz the spare was flat too…. I admit I never check them.

I had a flat spare once. Once. That's when my dad brought me a bicycle pump. He said it would learn to check them when I changed the oil. Do you have any idea how long it takes to inflate a tire on a F350 with a manual pump?!?!?

Didn’t have much more luck with the old Moline yesterday. Still some water in the tank. Damned near quit right in front of the house, but limped it back to its parking spot.

Solution is to drain everything, but hard to dispose of 15 gallons of bad gasoline.

Put some dry gas in it… maybe it’ll help. For a few bucks worth a try.

Rain and cold this week. Covered it back up for another day….

Jeepers - left front tire on my truck is 33 pounds….usually run 40…..

Alloy wheel or shrader valve leakage…

I should just take a nap, which I never do…today would be a good time to start….

Put the gasoline into some glass jugs, and let the water settle out, then siphon off the water, or get one of those funnels that separate the water from the fuel.

Running it through a mr filter would be my choice and then use it in an injected motor in increments.

Yeah - - I have a Mr. Funnel, and might do exactly that.

In small doses should work in something else to get it used up.

My typical day (6 days a week)- Wake up at 4am. Drink 1 cup of coffee, watch local news for the weather, get dressed, pack lunch, out the door by 5 am. Arrive at the power plant at 5:15am. Have safety meeting, get work orders from an IPad, head out of the shop at 6:30. Work untill 9:30am morning break (15 min.) Head back out. Lunch from 12 to 12:30. Head back out. Off work at 5:30 pm. Get home, let out chickens and gather eggs. Feed cows. Let out dogs. Wife has dinner ready at 6pm, sharp. Shower, watch local news, in bed at 9pm. Repeat.

With getting that 12" pump fixed and out of the shop Friday it sure cut down on some of my stress Unit was torn apart and taking up space for 6 weeks do to a key part being back ordered.

Made more progress today. I was shipped in a 6" pump that was a total basket case. Needed new seal on the pump end. But that wasn't the big deal.

The big deal was they partially installed a new engine. And then they started robbing parts from the new engine

I had to figure out what was missing. Get the parts ordered. Then when I get the parts in and installed, I would realize something else was missing. Had to figure out the plumbing for the coolant lines.

Then when I would fill it up with antifreeze, I would find another flipping port that needs to be plumbed in

I finally got that bugger put together and pretty much done. Have a few more parts ordered, but it's not key to at least get the unit running.

Well... wouldn't crank over, also noticed that it was throwing a code a missing throttle pedal The ecm was never flashed

So, after lunch I dragged it over to Cummins to let them deal with the engine part.

Cummins service manager was out when I dropped it off. So he called me about 4:30 tonight to find out what the history was and what we needed done.

Well when he asked, I just started laughing He immediately said "Never mind.... we aren't touching it..... you need to get it out of my yard first thing in the morning"

I told him I needed to get the ECM programmed and for them to get it running. I also said I wasn't quite sure if I got the plumbing correct since it has a few extra ports that weren't on any of our other units with the same engine. I did my best guess and hope I told him that I left the other unit that they performed some warranty work on there incase they needed the throttle profile. I also stressed to email me the workorder for that unit so I can add it to my workorder since I plan on making the other location cry over this one

Hopefully they will have Frankenstein living tomorrow afternoon.

One more basket case to get back together tomorrow morning and I'll have my bays cleaned out for the first time in months

Had a pretty interesting week. Had a corporate sponsored and paid for trip to Jacksonville Florida for Wednesday and Thursday, getting back to Arkansas today.

The trip was for the service managers of the top shop winners for their region. My shop was one of them.

Had dinner on the beach the first night, then yesterday morning we had a presentation from Diesel Laptops.

And then fishing

The boat I was on got bragging rights.

We didn't catch as many fish as some of the other boats..... We got 6 total

3 were Tarpon. The other 3 were redfish.

Only one of the reds was a keeper. The others were two big.

The first two tarpon were around 60lbs. The last one was around 100lbs.

The Tarpon were not allowed to be brought into the boat. You had to keep them.in the water and release the hook by reaching over the side.

I caught the first tarpon and the biggest red. Both were the biggest fish I've ever caught. I usually don't have much luck with fishing.

Up at 4am deal with the critters. dog,cats, chickens. grab a coffee and look at weather. walk the property wit the dog and let her chase the deer. make notes on anything going on. Then back inside, then shower and my 30 second commute for job that pays the bills about 6am. work lunch work till 230-3 then back outside for afternoon chores about 330. let the dog chase deer. dinner at 545 sharp. maybe watch a show, then relax or work in the shop. depends whats needed.

900 walk the dog and let her chase deer. back in and ready for bed about 945.

weekend the same except i get more farmwork done and no regular job duties.
