I am new proud owner of my first Kubota, this is a hobbie I am on the process of making my front end loader, i bought a use bucket for a bx23 48'' would it be possible to have hydraulic cylinder length recommendation. there is only one in the middle, I have a good welder, small milling and lathe. I suspect 1 1/2 bore by 30'' long but I want to make sure not over killing this. I will figure the bucket one later on
thanks in advance

It depends on the base geometry but cylinder stroke for both bucket and boom would normslly be closer to 16-18 inches.

In your production, remember these loaders MUST have a subframe connecting the front frame, the clutch housing, and the rear differential (know as axle bars).
There are several examples on here search top right for B7100 Loaders, Loader fabrication, or making a loader.
There are several of us that have made exellent loaders.

I used 1"×18 for boom amd 1"x16 for curl, but I used dual cylinders for both. And as NIW said you NEED a subframe it is not an option. Even with 1" pistons the loader will lift scary/damaging amounts with the correct geometry. I know my build is a lesson in "how not to weld" but it details what materials I used and the boom cylinder geometry I shot for. I overachieved lifting capacity but slightly under achieved on rollback angles and lift height. Overall I'm quite haply with how my "project" turned out. user Torch has a much better build thread and had better/ more similar to what you have tools to work with then I did
