Front axle pivot maintenance question

The owners manual says to remove the breather plug, apply grease till it overflows the breather port and reinstall the plug. Easy enough.
I only found one plug on the front pivot. The rear does not have one that I can see. Didnt think much of it at the 1st interval. 4 pumps in each and called it good. This time i started thinking. My wife says thats usually not cheap when i do. Lol.
My questions are....
1) is there a plug on the rear pivot?
2) if not, are the front and rear pivot bearings connected in some way?

Yeah , it wasn't very helpful. Didn't try on a PC though. Maybe it's better. I'll try again later in.

My L48 has the same setup, breather plug on the front, none on the rear. I am just going to say the front breather is the only breather. Maybe open it before greasing the rear and then grease the front?

No plug on the rear, it vents via the propeller shaft seal, don't over grease it as it just forces grease up the tube.
The front has needs venting and if you do not remove the plug you can blow the O-ring seal out or worse yet crack the case.

No plug on the rear, it vents via the propeller shaft seal, don't over grease it as it just forces grease up the tube.
The front has needs venting and if you do not remove the plug you can blow the O-ring seal out or worse yet crack the case.

That there is what I was looking for! Thank you @North Idaho Wolfman ! I figured as much but wanted to be sure. Most times I don't put but 2 or 3 pumps in any zerk anyway.

A couple of days ago I was greasing the L48. When I got to the from axle pivot grease fitting, I stopped to get a wrench to remove the vent plug. It is a 7mm square pipe plug, I guess. Unfortunately, when I tried to loosen plug, it felt like the open end wrench was going to slip and round off the corner. So I stopped and looked for a tool that would be more appropriate than an open end wrench.

Ideally, a 7mm 4 point square socket would be just the ticket. I spent way too much time on line looking for a 4 point socket, and also an 8 point socket in the 7mm variety, to no avail. I have no idea why someone would have tightened the plug gorilla tight, except that whoever. it was, must have had the right wrench.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a 7mm 4 point or 8 point socket? I have a few small standard 8 point sockets, 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8. I think they were my father in law's at one time.

12 point triple square will work as well, if it is not extremely tight. Open end wrenches often flex too much on Uber tight fasteners.

I think I may have blown my front oring by not removing the vent. I don't have a leak... yet. What kink of mess have I created?

Perfect! I need to start using a PC more often than this phone.
I think the Kubota site is pretty friendly to mobile devices but the diagrams for older tractors do get pretty fuzz when enlarged so a PC is much easier than a phone.
