LA 1854 loader. Bucket dump function is weak, won't lift front of tractor off ground. Swapped the load and dump hoses, moving control lever to "load" function causes bucket to dump, as expected. It will also lift front of tractor off of the ground. Problem is, moving the control lever to "dump" causes the bucket to dump as well. Pressure on both lines, full rpm, is 2950 psi. I tried adjusting the control cable, with no help. I need to be able to put more force on the bucket dump function to operate my hay accumulator grapple.

I deleted my first reply because I misunderstood your complaint. I thinknI have it right this time.

First the bucket dump circuit in the loader valve uses regen so you cannot reverse the ports. Put them back as you had them.

Second the regen feature increases dump speed but at the cost of cylinder force. So it may be normal behavior on that loader and tractor combo. Is this something that you KNOW used to work but now does not or is it something you just discovered?

Thanks for the reply, Dan. Actually working on this for a friend. Is there any way to bypass or otherwise do away with the regen function for the dump circuit? It appears that this is accomplished via the control valve. Replace the control valve, maybe?

Arrg - replied thinking this was a differrent thread. You would have to replace the valve. Sime Kubota valves have a fourth detented position that dumps without regen.
