Hello, I have an M5660 that I want to use a 3pt no till drill(Genesis) with. Beings it is a 3ph drill I would like to have a way to make it float some. On some other forum I saw a slotted top link that would allow it to float some. It was for a Mccormick 250 they said. But I am not able to find one like it anywhere. Does anyone know where to find something like this? Or is there another relatively simple solution? Thanks in advance, Mark.

Hydraulic top link without a check valve? Do you have remotes with a float option?

My bush hog mower has a levered extension for the top link to attach to. Picture two pieces of flat bar with a pin at each end. One end on the implement top link and the other end attaches to the tractor top link. Gives you a degree of float. Sorry no pics handy.

Look at the top link on most newer vintage rotary cutters (brush hogs). There is an additional forked piece added that allows the top link to be lengthened so much that it doesn’t really matter that it is there anymore until you start to pick up the implement then it becomes tight enough to allow you to pick up the implement.

But a chain will work in a similar manner if adjusted correctly but doesn’t stop the implement from falling forward around the lower 3point pins. I don’t think the implement you described would want to rotate forward.

Thanks for the ideas so far. Do you think one of those 3 point quick hitch adapters would work? Kind of a Y shaped gizmo that goes between the top link and the implement.

Yes that would work too.
