I have three sets of the shelving that @jyoutz links to above and it's decent stuff but expensive for what it is. I have a couple in the garage and a set in my gun room, but when it came time to add a really nice and functional set to the wall for all manner of firearms related stuff, I made my own.

Two things..

1. Outstanding job on those shelves. They look top notch and strong to boot.

2. I hate guys like you for being so organized and neat. My shop is always a disaster. ;)

Edit: BTW I'm stealing that primer pick up tube holder idea.

Thanks! I made that primer tube holder years ago and it's been very useful.

For the record, my gun room is fairly organized but my garage is always a mess!

Any lawyer reading this will cringe. Or perhaps drool.
No doubt.

BUT fortunately there are still people in this world that prove the need for lawyers isn't there all the time...sounds like this is a case of that...two descent people working out a deal on a handshake.

Too bad life is not that way anymore for the most part.

I have these in my garage and shop. They are huge and each shelf can hold 2000 pounds. They are pricey but easy to construct and they last forever. I have also found these at Costco for $50 cheaper.

+1 Costco also sells these pretty cheap. We have about 7-8 of them in total between the basement and the garage.

They are mfg. by Edsal I believe - if you end up with extra pieces and shelves from "customizing", both Lowe's and HD can special order add'l pieces to make extra shelving units.

Edit* didn't realize you had bought some from Costco already. Enjoy!

I want to thank everyone for their helpful suggestions! We are down to the last days here and will be disassembling our lan and computer gear for packing very soon.

I expect at least part of the shelving issue will be job one at the new house.

Tractor gets a packing job too before we go. I am borrowing a 14' F350 rack body with lift gate today. Today the tractor will load the 12 tower sections and hardware on it then we drive 11 miles to unload. Tomorrow it will load all the implements on the truck early in the am. I have a flat bed tow truck scheduled for 10. We load the Kubota onto the flat bed and drive over to the new house. Then I get to unload them all there.

Its been a load of work but looking forward to all the projects :)
Good luck with the move Jerry, where did you end up?

Just saw those at COSTCO.
Very solid looking.
Priced at $199.99 I do think they are a decent buy.

They are extremely solid and can be bolted to the floor as well. $199 CAD?? Back when I bought them all, they were roughly $130-150 USD so at $199 they're a bargain.

11 miles north of old house, just over the Cheshire / Southington border in Southington. It's a 2-1/2 acre lot - enough for me to do a reasonable garden. The house is perfect for us - primary bedroom suite on 1st floor, 2 bedrooms upstairs and a large basement that just screams 'use me'.

I may have to take down several trees in the back so get that trailer ready :)
