We are putting a front end loader on our L4200 to move mulch with. I don't really know much about loaders. I think that a LA680 is the standard loader, but I can't find one for sale within 500 miles or $4000 dollars. I have found a LA950 loader with the right size bucket and all the valves and hoses for $1500. Would this fit or could it be made to fit? If not, what other loaders would fit?

Thanks,
JY

You have found your way to one of the most difficult tractor problems to solve.
You are looking for an OEM loader for a 25+ year old Kubota.

The up front reality here is: How many folks will take that loader off their 25 year old similar model tractor,.... to sell it separately?
It just NEVER happens!

If you are REALLY lucky, you MIGHT find a loader in a junk yard, but there are no Kubota specific tractor junk yards.

Perhaps - with many months of searching - you may be able to Rube Goldberg cobble something together.
Perhaps!

You best (and likely most cost effective) course of action would be to sell your current tractor, and buy a tractor that already has a mounted loader.

It's not the quantity of loaders in my area, it's that I don't know which loader will fit. I have found plenty of old loaders, just not a LA680, which is the only loader that I am certain will fit. I need to know what loader would fit our tractor. I've found several LA950 loaders and a few other random LA series loaders, all of which we could afford.

There are several VERY knowledgable folks who will likely come along soon, to help you with that information.

There were two options, the LA680 and the LA681.

And sorry no the LA950 won't fit without a lot of rework, it was designed for a much older tractor.

Look at Wood's or Westendorf as alternatives to stock.

When you say rework, how much fabbing would we need to do to get it to fit? I have someone who enjoys welding and will do it for free.

What you would need to match, la680 for your tractor.

What you would get with the LA950, if you get all the mounts!
