Nothing I hate more than having that spring loaded ring on the clevis pin snap and hit my fingers. I swear, it is worse than hitting your thumb with a hammer. Mine are numb so that doesn't hurt anymore. LOL

But having that ring snap my finger on a cold morning takes 60 years of Church indoctrination right out of me.

RAT Traps are NICE compared to those lynch pins !!!!
The one 'trick' I try to remember, is to spring them JUST enough to get them off, then allow them to close BEFORE I grab them for good

BTW left thumb still has 'black reminder; where the square drive bit, bit....2-3 months ago.....

Yep, it's right up there with getting a paper cut in that already open gaping split in your thumb that just won't go away all winter. Now I know many of you won't understand being from a warmer climate and all but just think back to the first 3 days after having a vasectomy, got your attention now don't I.

I used a rusty pocketknife and some old Burbon. Did it myself and saved a bunch.
