Watching the news, looking at the NWS, multiple warnings across the mid-section of US. Sounds like everything is lining up to cause a major severe weather outbreak. Sounds like Arkansas is taking some hits right now with MO and IL going to be getting hit shortly.

Our area under tornado watch, wind advisory, and thunderstorm watch. They have us at a level 4 out of 5 for our area.

Hoping like usual the weather people are wrong and it misses us.

In my neck of the woods, watches are virtually non-existent and warnings get issued after the storm has moved through. I'm not losing any sleep tonight.

It's about 75/77 deg. here this afternoon and the wind is blowing about 35 MPH. Probably cook up a mess about dark!

Reports of damage in the Little Rock area and now tornados northern Illinois and Iowa.

The big outbreak wasn't scheduled till this evening, I guess no one gave the storms the memo.

Just Missed my wife this afternoon. Tornado went through a 1/4 mile south of the nursing home she works at. Caused quite a bit of damage in Little Rock, North Little Rock, sherwood and Jacksonville.

There was a 50ft swath where it crossed the interstate between I430 and the first Morgan exit on I40 in North Little Rock. The looky lous had traffic snarled coming out of Little Rock on I40 west tonight.

Forget getting into Little Rock on I40 from the west. Traffic was backed up for about 5 miles.

Storms came through here, we lost power for a few minutes, lights keep blinking, lots of power outages all around us, but we are now on the backside of the storms.

I didn't know we were under a Tornado threat till Beth texted, then she called me shortly afterwards to give me a traffic update. I drove through an area that was under a duck and cover order on my way out to a service call

That will teach me to listen to podcasts and audio books instead of listening to the radio

Usually you get a good indication of what's coming (in the daytime) by cloud movement and color and wind! You have to take the sun glasses off to!!

Ryan Hall Y'all on YouTube is one of several meteorologists live streaming following the storms. I've been watching him for hours. Directly related to my line of work. There are certainly others too.
