There is a current thread about ball caps, primarily KUBOTA caps and T shirts, so I didn't want to post this there.
A few years back I needed to replace the hydraulic pump on my Case 730 and a dealer in Neosheda, Ks, was the only place I could find this pump. They rebuilt them there. They invited me into the shop to see what all they did, I purchased the pump, and when I was leaving they GAVE me a baseball cap with their name on the front. I also noticed under their name was their phone number. So I wore the cap a few times and made sure when I was haying I wore it because the phone number was on it and if I broke down and needed something I could call and they'd send it out that day.
This is an open station 1966 tractor with a canopy to keep the sun off. One day while raking hay I was hot so I took the cap off and hung it on the loader controls. After a while I pulled under a large Osage Orange tree for some shade and a drink. I felt for my cap but it wasn't on my head, then I remembered I put ito n the loader control lever. It wasn't there. I actually went up and down some windrows looking, but it was camo and going to be blended in.
I discovered it that winter in a hay ring!
After that I always though is someone is advertising their company their phone number should be on it, but I guess modern technology over rides that need.

I got probably another 1/2 acre cleared out today under these live oaks. I'm running the debris about 125 yds away and I'm up to 6 large brush piles.

Ha. I did go back to house about 130 to let the dogs out, I grabbed peanuts, protein bar and a banana, lunch on the go.
I bet that Live Oak feels better already. Good Job!
You run across any snakes yet?
2 today, ribbon snale and garter snake.
I have never ran into a rattle snake, the hogs have kept them in check.
I do have one area where I have a horned toad lizzard, I stop clearing in that area.
I seen 3 so far this year, when it gets hotter out I see them more often.

Took day off from farm duties.
Worked on another scouts Eagle Scout Project, the ESD #2 Fire/Ems station gazebo got power washed, then stained and new metal roof installed.
I'm wore out!

This inflation has a depression effect on new grease tubes. I should be able to return 10 used tubes for one new tube of grease.

My 4 stroke Honda brush cutter has an excellent body harness.
A great machine,.... but I am getting too old to use it safely....a trip and fall issue.

That's really the only issue with being 'Tied/Harnessed' to the brush cutter. A trip or fall can be hazardous.
A few years ago I was cutting some saplings in an area that I Deer hunt, just wanting to thin things out a bit so I could see better. There are a lot vines and other vegetation that make your footing difficult to begin with. Lugging the brush cutter makes it all the worse.
I didn't see a big nest of Paper Wasps on a limb (about head high), so when I got right under it... a bunch of them attacked (can't blame them). So there I am....harnessed to my brush cutter trying to put some distance between me and them....but to no avail, brush cutter was snagging on everything.
My harness has a quick disconnect but its not easily manipulated while swatting (unsuccessfully) with one hand and stumbling through the brush and vines. I finally just had to stop, free myself from the brush cutter and then continue my retreat. Got 13 stings.
Usually wasps don't pursue you very far. Unlike Yellow-jackets and Hornets which aren't happy until they've followed you all the way home. But this bunch was 'dedicated'.
Went back to my truck to lick my wounds for awhile. Then eased back in to retrieve my abandoned cutter, still idling away.
I don't use the shoulder strap because I have ran into wasps before, I want to distance myself fast as I can!!
I've looked into getting a walk behind one, but those boogers are pricey.

This area is now leveled out (half seen in the aerial pic) and free of tree/brush debris, ready to disc up tomorrow and I'm gonna plant Commachee Bermuda grass seed, holy crap that seed was expensive $370 for 50# bag.
