B7200 rototiller

I'm considering the Landpride RTA 1250 rototiller for my B7200. The tractor is rated for 14 PTO HP. The Landpride specs say 15-40HP. I could go with the Landpride RTA 1242 (also spec'd for 15-40HP) but it would not cover my tractor's wheel track. Anyone with advice and experience with this would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you rototilling virgin ground or a established garden every year? I do not know if your tractor is a HST or gear drive. If HST it is a lot easier to control ground speed to keep RPM's up. I run a RTA1258 with my LX2610(19 PTO HP) and the spec. for that rototiller is 20-50 PTO HP. I use this for a 1 acre garden every year and just have to go slower(but still pretty quick).

I've used a rototiller on my B8200HST rated for a larger HP. The tractor it is for is a 12 speed manual. To be honest I'd would take a manual hands down over a HST...
In your case I would call Landpride for their opinion? Or your dealer that selling it.

i run a 4 ft titan, gear driven, forward rotation tiller on my b2100, the rear pto is just a hair lower rated than what my tractor specs call for. have you considered moving your rear wheels inward ?. i can do this with my b2100.

Thanks for your reply. It is an established garden and the B7200 is gear drive. I talked to the Landpride rep and he suggests going with the RTR 0550. My garden is 30x50 ft and I am in no hurry.

I can also move in one or both rear wheels and the RTR 0550 would cover the tracks.
