Do wheel spacers really help with the stability when going sideways on a slope?
Thomas said it perfectly! 100% Difference in the seat!
I too have a BX2370 with 2" spacers
Since your front end is on a "pivot" (the axle tilts to one side or another) spacers are not as helpful as they are on the rear.Novice here re spacers... are spacers generally utilized only on the rear? Front spacers would seem a stability enhancer too.
Makes sense. Thanks for the reply, friend!Since your front end is on a "pivot" (the axle tilts to one side or another) spacers are not as helpful as they are on the rear.
They also place more strain on the steering components.
Physics explain that a wider foot print WILL help stability ( think if your front wheels were 3' in either direction!)
But most do NOT space the fronts due to stress on the front end.
What brand and model did you get? Thanks for response.I had a BX2370 with 2 inches spacers in the rear and I definitely noticed a difference in the pucker factor while mowing on a slight slope.
Mind if I ask which dealer? I am about equal distance between Franklin and Asheville dealers.I have a L3902 i use in the mountains of North Carolina. I had the dealer put 3" spacers on the rear and had the tires filled with about 150lbs of ballast and it makes a big difference in stability.
I been doing my research but can’t find what Jeep spacers would fit my bx2670. Any help?If you do your research - you will find that 2" spacers cost well over $250, but if you look at "jeep" spacers they are the exact same and cost 1/3 less. Make sure the bolt patterns are correct however.
