New LX2610 owner - love the rig - just moved a lot of heavy snow w/ loader and experienced A LOT of front wheel slippage....4WD engaged and rear wheels are weighted w/ chains. Question: Is there a front weight to help w/ traction or has anyone modified the front to attach one?

Welcome and oh boy will we be able to help😱
  • Using a bucket or a snow attachment?
  • What kind of tires?
  • Are you using float?
  • Ice under the snow?
Based on my experience it’s to much down force or front is riding up - reducing weight and traction to the front. Weights won’t help - at least the amount you could add to the brush guard won’t. Just IMO, you’ll get lots of relevant replies.

Thanks...

Using Loader attachment. I have R4 wheels w/ chains (rear). Using in snow, but you know how that heavy snow compacts into slippery stuff!

Kubota offers a front weight package but it cannot be mounted concurrently with FEL.

I have both F & R chains for my B3350 but rarely use either when plowing snow with my FEL mounted plow.

I always use both F & R chains when plowing snow with my B1750 and back blade.

Chains will help much more than front weight.

Thanks STD, perhaps front chains are the way to go then...my only concern w/ front chains is them getting wrapped on axle...perhaps my concern is overblown.

When you hit reply, just start typing outside the quotes, no need to hit enter and add another post. ;)
Get a set of good front chains and good tensioners!

Properly fitted and installed, they will present no issues.

I've been using F & R chains on my B1750 since 1994. No problems.
