Setting up new Landpride RC a PITA

Figured to remove box blade and then mount and setup the new Landprice RC1248 this afternoon and then to go down and do some cutting.

A real PITA. Almost sorry I did not buy another Frontier. Frontier's is MUCH easier to setup and works with QH hook left in place.

Had to remove the top hook on the QH. The RC refused to lower below about 3 inches up with the hook on the swing spot where I used the hook on the Frontier.

Fortunately, I had a U adaptor for the QH top hook. The one photo shows it in place. The other 3 implements worked with the top hook in place where it could hook the swing spot (just below top holes). Now, I'll have to run the adaptor for everything and hook the lift arms first instead of the hook first.

All the bolts were tight such that the swing gizmo would not work. Loosened them. It'll likely give a lot more movement of the rear of the RC than the slide gizmo does on the Frontier.

The tiny bolts holding the tail wheel adjustment are a PITA vs. Frontier's big, long swing bolt and 2nd bolt to adjust height. Hopefully, I won't have to touch them again. The tail wheel on the Frontier has to be removed to remove the blades on the RC. Not so on the Landpride.

Sorry, you had a problem. I simply backup to my LP RCR 1860 with my LP Q10 quick hitch; everything mates perfectly. I only have to dismount to deal with the PTO connection.

I will try to take a pic of my LP RC2060 connection. I noticed it seems you have an additional flex connection in place of the hook on the top link connection. The flex bracket with the black cast piece is all I use and have had not had any issues up and down hills and gullies. Like Elliott stated, I have no issues backing up with the quick hitch raising the 3 Pt lever then hooking up the PTO.

My RC works fine as well with QH15. Are you sure you are trying to hook up at the right place?

I hooked underneath where the swing piece is. 'tis where I could hook the Frontier. However, the RC refused to lower much more than about 3 inches up with the hook in that position. Not sure why.

Yeah, there's an extra piece of swing with the U adaptor in there.

I just back up and connect to it just like this. The top link hook hooks right to the cast flex link.

Exactly what I did, but the thing would not lower below about 3 inches up. Think it is because the top link came out longer than the bottom lift arms. This would cause the tail wheel to drive to ground. Had this happen on an LX4 when they didn't place the lift pins in the right position for the 4010 I had then.

Sounds like you just needed to shorten the top link?
