Hydraulic top link was delivered today, and I look forward to installing it on Saturday. It should not be too to difficult, but as a noob it will likely take much longer than expected.....

I finished the cross fence & pulled some soil samples in my brome pasture.
I also checked the progress on my pond clean out. Plan to remove some more dirt between the tractor & the camera. The Kubota didn’t do this. It was a big Cat.

I want to take out a little more dirt. Put in a watering lane for the cattle. Then, put some structure in for fish. Shouldn’t take more than a week. After that, let ‘er rain.
I'd think about one of those concrete waterer on the dam side. Cut down with your hoe, install a 2" PVC with a water collar and a short pipe sticking up with some holes in it. Run it out into the pond a few feet and anchor with a post. You can add the external part when you have time, but you'll have a gravity feed automatic waterer that will last as long as there is water.

Found a small cooler to put in my newly mounted ROPS basket.
It was just a bit oversize....but I was able to make it fit nicely by removing about a 1/4" from the top angle .....creating a 'notch' for it sit in where it can't slide around.
Fitted the inner edge of the angle with some Trim-LoK so the cooler or other items don't get beat up.
Small project....but sometimes little details matter.

Spent a few hours removing snow on my drive and the neighbors, 2-23.
Not a large snow compared to many other parts of the country but for Central Wisconsin it was on "plus" side of normal. Total over the two days about 13 or 14 inches.
I tend to use the back blade for the majority and the blower for moving banks or working the deeper drifts.

I like Plan B the best (skidder). Might wanna make that sooner than later if your pond has fish. Oak ain't the best thing for a pond.
Just more of the same yesterday morning. Came back from a trip to WA state Wednesday afternoon and discovered that I'd missed another snow storm over the weekend. I plugged the block heater in for about three hours, and despite being 2F the MX started up without any trouble although it was a little slow to turn over for a second or two. Running the blower at 2,200 rpm has made a big difference to fuel consumption but I needed to fill up so added 100ml of Stanadyne and 10 gallons of red diesel. Based on the last tank, this should last until the Spring! 
Talking of roadtrips, this has to be one of the best gas station restaurant views in the country! @North Idaho Wolfman will recognize this place no doubt.

Your chute deflector angle is interesting and perhaps not as steep as it looks. I remember a physics class in which we discussed the optimal launch angle of a javelin, ball or bullet if the objective is to maximize the range. Not being critical, just an observation, and if it works, it works.

I didn't take it as critical. I just stopped for a photo-op paying no attention to blower angle or direction.
I had only snowblowed a few feet at that point and took the photo while still in motion.
Up here, I am often fighting the wind and so I am constantly adjusting angles and directions so as not* to get pummeled in the face with ice cold snow at 40km/h @ -12*C.
Sometimes* it even works !

I blew snow with a front mounted snow blower on a BX25 for five winters, and ran a rear mount snow blower on the MX open station for one winter. I vividly remember the feeling of getting a face full of powder when it was -15F through 30F+!G'Day

But it was the dust when mowing that convinced me that I needed a cab. These days though, being in a heated cab when it's below freezing out and I can' t see much in the powdery "fog", I'm grateful for the cab.

Especially watching 5 Girls / Ladies doing cartwheels down that hill covered in grass!
They did that last year after just a few mimosas!
Cleaned up some more after yesterday's storm and the ensuing drifts. Gotta say that I am really starting to like the steering brakes.

When my wife and I decided to sell our motorcycles and get a sports car a couple years ago. The mini cooper was on the short list for me along with a miata. She found a nice red miata, 2006 with 37k on it on marketplace that is perfect and was great price. I just like the style of them coopers though, you have good taste!
