They do the same thing to their trucks. Makes them look like a circus wagon.
Similar in the Phillippines with Jeeps, and tractors in other South Asia rural areas.

In MANY cases, a tractor is their ONLY vehicle!
They may pile the family aboard, for a trip into town.

I have seen two wheel (walk behind style) handlebar "tractors", pulling a small cart, with the family aboard.
Obviously the only motorized method of transportation available to them.
China & South Asia.!

Yeah, i think we have to imagine this in terms of skipping 70 years of tractor progression. Like, if you went from having no tractor to having one as good as they were circa 1980, it would seem like a dang miracle. They never had to start it with a rope after building a fire under it and then riding around on steel wheels with no tires and if the leaf spring holding your seat broke you fell off and your death was 'implemented' by whatever you were pulling that, by the way, the tractor couldn't even pick up. They skipped straight to the good part!!
