Way back inthe day I worked for WE ,and one Micro wave repeater we installed late in the fall. Over the winter we installed all the equipment, and there was just a plastic tarp over the horn and wave guides. Testing, was all screwed up untill they climbed up and found the cover ripped by winter storms, and couple of pigeon nests and some rather well done birds onthe nests. Everything tuned right up after their removal

There might be a few. I used to be inside plant working in a DCO on AE switching equipment in Korea in the 1970's. Later became a Telecom Engineer working for Microsoft. Retired in 2015.
