I have an older L3240 with a BH92 backhoe attachment and I was wondering if a could use a Baumalight S14 stump grinder on my backhoe? If not a Baunalight then does anyone else make a small unit to attach in place of the bucket on one of these small units?

I can't answer your question directly but do you really think that you'd have enough flow to operate one? I would think that your tractor is flow limited and moving the hoe side to side would reduce flow to the grinder even more.

A bunch of us have these PTO grinders. https://woodlandmills.com/wg-24-stump-grinder/
They work pretty well but would be cumbersome with anything other than a hydrostatic transmission.

Baumalite website indicates that 12 gpm is sufficient.
My L48TLB has 24.9 gpm, but I think I would still prefer to dig 'em out.

Your tractor only has 2/3 the flow specifief for that grinder. Not going to work well.

No It will not work!
No where near enough GPM on your hydraulics.

I was afraid of that on the flow. I was only thinking about one of these on the hoe to help save a little on cost. If I get one it will have to have a swing arm and they are double the cost.
Thanks to everyone that replied.

Does your tractor have an HST or is it gear drive?

The woodland mills WG-24 is a rugged unit at a reasonable cost. I've ground over 100 stumps with mine and only had to replace some of the teeth. It works quite well even with my limited PTO hp.

I have a WG-24 , works great, and I like it. But alternating it with a backhoe would get old fast.

HST transmission. Yah they look strong enough but was hoping to reduce the amount of stress on the tractor by using a swing arm model and there twice as much so I guess I’m priced out for now. The other reason was taking the whole backhoe off rather then just attaching it to the backhoe. A lot of people want stumps ground rather then dug up. Don’t understand that one when you can fill the hole back in and after it’s all packed down again just add a little more dirt and your as good as new.

That's why most people in the business have a dedicated grinder.
