I purchased a new sgc 0660 grapple that has a stand on one side. The manual shows a stand on both sides but my dealer says that all the grapples they sell only have the one stand. The stand is a poor solution because it is easy to forget it is down and easy to bend when down. (speaking from experience) With the one stand it is difficult to get the grapple to stay upright. I was wondering if others had the same issue and if anyone has come up with a rack that the grapple can set in. I would like to stack the grapple along with other implements (snow plow, bucket, forks) in a rack against the tractor shed wall and would rather not reinvent the wheel.

My friend welded me a rack, which I looked through I don't seem to have a picture right off.

Yet, it is all metal with a wooden shelf and the grapple is stored at about 3 ft off the ground, so when you pull up to it, you can easily see to align the SSQA. There are safety chains on it to prevent the grapple from falling off the stand when not in use.

My grapple dolly build here

Instead of wheels for your situation you could make and weld on some pads instead. If you were going to lift and stack it using forklifts you'd want to strap it down or provide for some means to keep it from tipping while on the forks.

The way it is now makes for easy rolling into a "resting spot" in my shed until it's needed. It doesn't take up too much floor space. You could also leave it on a bottom rack in whatever storage system you come up with.

thank you metal would be great. My neighbour is an excellent fabricator. I was thinking a wooden stand. but metal would be better..

thank you caster would be excellent but My tractor shed has a gravel floor. but I like what you did and it is what I was asking for I will add the risers so the grapple can sit on the pad and not fall over. I would like to be able to set the grapple in and out using the quick attach. my vision is to have the snow plow forks bucket and grapple in cubbys along the back wall of the shed maybe two or even three high.

No stand here (0554), I just open the tines about a foot & stand it on them, never had any issues. I definitely keep it indoors (out of the sun) to prevent any issues with hose re-connection.

Implements in a building, what's that all about.
I'd need a really big building, well I'll keep daring to dream! ;)
