I just purchased a B7100 to use for my gravel drive and some field mowing. It has the 60in under belly mower that I hope will do good. I need a grader box blade and am not sure what size it will handle. Suggestions?

I purchased a 4 foot King Kutter XP box blade for my B7100HST. It is a lighter duty box blade more suited to the dimensions of the 3 point hitch than their standard model. Even at four foot I can stop the tractor , primarily from a traction standpoint when full or will just plain bring me to a stop if a scarifier hits a root or rock.
The 3 PT hitch does handle it well from a weight standpoint and it does cover my tire tracks.
I think you should have little trouble pulling it when maintaining a gravel driveway.

The XP model has 3 scarifiers compared to the 4 shanks of the King Kutter standard 4 foot model. Also the scarifiers only have one depth position and not adjustable. They simply pull up and then swing down. I actually like how they are set up in this respect. When backing and pushing with the box blade the scarifiers will simply pivot forward and then re-engage the ground when driving forward.

we have the 72 behind a 2038R and its a little too much for that tractor, but a 60'' wasn't available, but I think the L6060 won't have any issues with it.

I'm confused to how that relates to a blade for a B7100?
The B7100 is about the size of the back tire on an L6060! ;)

I'm beginning to wonder if your the inspector Steve on my other job site? :ROFLMAO:

Just giving him an idea that a 72 is too much for a light weight 38 horse power tractor so I’d go smaller for the 17 horse power he has, maybe even down to a 48” box blade

I have a 5 footer that I used with my B7200. The tractor had no trouble bending it up

I suspect a regular duty 6 footer would be fine on the B7200 but too long to reverse.

Ooops - I see you said box blade. A 5 footer would be a load on a B7200.

I have a 41" Gannon box blade. It is very heavy for it's size, and it cuts, digs, and pulls very well behind my B7100. (it was the factory option at the time)
The disadvantage is that being narrow, it takes longer to level large areas.
But my neighbor who has a B2150 with a 60" box blade always calls on me to recut or clean out his water courses and road gutters.
The wider the blade the easier it is to level larger areas, the narrower the blade, the better it digs.

I used to have a tractor the size of a B7100 and ran a 54” box blade with no problem. I like a box blade to be a little wider than the wheel width so you can work close to a fence or ditch. But for what it’s worth, I find a rear grader blade to be far better than a box blade for road maintenance, especially if it has an offset function.

Thanks for the replies! My drive goes uphill at first and is full of high spots and pot holes from delivery trucks and 2wd vehicles. I was told a box would be better than a blade to level it and maintain it?

Not necessarily, it's more about the man than the machine (implement).
The late farmer across the road had a BEAUTIFUL long (700'+) driveway, only way into his 50 acres.
4 times a year he'd use a 6' rear blade to 'tidy up' the edges, and every Sunday...after church, before brunch, he'd drag a bar with chains to smooth and groom the driveway(no weeds, flat, smooth)
The new owner doesn't do that and sadly, and in less than 3 months , the driveway is a mess....
Showed me that a LITTLE time spent in maintaining a driveway reaps HUGE benefits.
