Storing Implements/Attachments?

I tried using search for this, but I'm looking for suggestions on how/where to store the implements & attachments I have for the BX. The BX lives in a garage, but its a smaller garage, 18x18 (ish). I have another riding mower in this garage as well, as well as a walk behind snowblower (both of those need to live in the heated garage, as they're battery powered), along with some other lawn equipment items. Currently the BX has a rear mounted snow blower and a front loader bucket attached, but the power bagger and mower deck are behind our shed (on a trailer) covered with a tarp. Ideally I'd like to pull both mower decks back into the garage, versus outdoors or in the shed, and I'm wondering what kinds of storage solutions you all have come up with, that would allow such a set up. I'm sure a set of pulleys and a manual winch would be good to get them up above the tractor, or even mounted on the wall. I could just pull them in and store them on the floor, but I want to still have access to walk around/get under these things to work on them, when needed. Hoping for suggestions and pictures to provide some inspiration.

No way would I do that, she's the pants wearer of the family, and I already get 3 out of our 4 garage bays. Rolling pallets sounds like an interesting idea, only concern there, I continue to lose the floor space I'd like to keep for working on these machines.

I think he meant dollies. I'd bet a combination of a few dollies and some rope hoists would get you both mobility and floor space.

I'd get some pallet forks for your bucket and build a rack to hold your mower decks. Use the forks to lift and stack the mower decks on the rack above each other.

I did what GeoHorn said to do. for 4 years her brand new car has been outside,even all winter long. Kubota stays in the 'climate controlled garage,sometimes the forklift is beside it as well. I rest the pallet forks on a custom made dolly and they slide under the end of my 4by8 workbench.

Couple of options:

If you have enough headroom I have seen some put up heavy shelving and stack implements two or three high using the forks on the tractor.

Personally, I keep most often used stuff on dollies to allow moving them around the floor. If I could only store them where the tractor set them down it would be much more restrictive and inefficient. Also allows easily moving them temporarily to free up floor space near the door by easily pushing them around if I need additional room to work on something. A few times I’ve also rolled several implements over by the door and pretty quickly forked them elsewhere for a few hours or days to free up floor space and then set them back in when done. Sitting on a dolly, they’re easily moved with forks. Steel caster wheels, plywood decks, and reasonable 2x subframes are quick and cost effective to put together.

I also have a few implements that aren’t often used and don’t benefit from climate control which stay in this dirt floored shed. (i.e. generator in climate control; leaf rake in shed). There’s no rolling or sliding that stuff around out there. Most is way too heavy for manhandling and caster wheels useless on dirt. Quite a bit less user friendly but relatively cheap storage.

The bucket has one and the grappel has another, And if need be you can push them just about any place out of the road. I fought the same fight untill someone in here brought that up,, eazy pezy

I'd quickly sell the tractor before I make my wife park her car outside, even before we bought her a new car this year.

Looking on their site, you can get cheap wooden ones for less than $10 each, is it worth it to get the plastic (polypropylene) versions for $30 each? Both versions state they'll hold 1000 lbs.

Make some rolling pallets by attaching steel caster wheels to a solid pallet put the implements on the pallet and roll it out of the way when there’s a need to work in that space.

Yes, Mark got it…. I actually have a 1K lb safe sitting on one of these so I can roll it around (concrete floor) while I’m refinishing a store room. I had 10 large cedar 10-foot logs stacked on two of these for 5 years so I could roll them around the hangar until I used them for columns. They’ll hold more than I expected.

However, Keep a mouse-trap with peanut butter on it under her car hood tho’—— to Let the wife know you still love her. I changed the cabin air filter this week and this was sitting on top if it and I had to dig it out…otherwise it would have fallen down into the fan. (Guess that’s why they call it a “squirrel-cage” fan…??)

I reread that thread, and someone in there mentioned 'heavy pallet racking', a quick search, and the box stores appear to have this stuff in stock, seems like it may be the right thing for the task - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-4...-W-x-78-in-H-x-24-in-D-N2W772478W4B/319132737

It's more expensive than dollies, but I'm currently backing my tractor in and placing the snowblower (still attached) on a pallet, where this would allow me to keep doing that (on the lowest shelf) and then add two more shelves above those for storage. Has anyone done something like that?
