Very low world population, very few gasoline engines, very few diesel trucks, the word "pollution" had likely not been created......... BC.

Yeah, maybe God couldn't see that far in to the future and had no idea about the industrial age... either that or maybe He forgot to mention anything about it.

Bundys were not right and have no rights to free grazing on public lands. Every other rancher pays for their grazing leases. Nobody has a right to free grazing: you either purchase private land, or pay lease fees to the private or public owners.

So in reality what is DEF? I have heard everything from refined JP4, to liqued fertlizer, and all kinds of things, so in dumb terms really what is it ?

The ammonia (NH3) is the desired product which in conjunction to the SCR catalyst, converts the NOx to harmless nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O)

I like my 6.7 Ford diesel, it doesn't smoke, stink or rattle and has a lot of horsepower. I would not want an old 7.3 that was about as uncivilized as they come. Adding some DEF a couple of times a year is a small price to pay to get something that isn't a pig. While I don't have a tractor that is large enough to have a DEF system, I would have no problem with running a modern engine.

I like my 7.3L. I like the straight pipe from the turbo back, no DPF, no DEF, the fact that it didn't cost $85k, the fact that it's still running great 20 years later, the fact that it's reliable, and that it does a good job of pulling my trailers and tractors around. The DP-Tuner chip and programmer really helped with hp and torque. Not a 6.7L by any means, but a good truck that hopefully will run for many, many years to come.

Nice! Talk about a bullet proof and proven engine. I always like the distinctive sound of those older Cummins engines.

I trying to decide on getting the 2007 Kubota L4400 (44hp 4x4 621 hours) or the 2009 KUBOTA Tractors M4800 (50hp 4x2 720 hours)

I recently closed on buying a few acres of land.... so the hunt for a good used tractor is ON!
