I searched the forum and was surprised that I couldn't find this already.

Can anyone tell me the thread pitch of the bolts that should be used on the ROPS of my L4310? Mine didn't come with the rops bolts and I don't want to pay $200 for a set. Worst case, I can go buy 3-4 different bolts to test. But I figured I'd ask here first,

If you have a Verneer caliper it's easy enough to measure. The pitch is the distance between the peaks of the thread in millimeters. So a 2.0 would be 2 mm between the peaks from one thread to the next.
A M16 very well could be a 2.0 pitch but likely 1.5.

Can you take a bolt out of somewhere on the tractor and see if it fits?

I have these already. But the ROPS bolt is bigger than M12. I’m going to buy some M16x1.5 and see if they work. I’m surprised nobody knows on here.
If I don't have a thread gauge my first instinct is to get my tape measure or steel ruler to measure a bolt.

If you lost a bolt that's threaded into a boss that can be trickier to measure. Is this your situation?

Usually you will see standard/course pitch threads on a nut/bolt fastener.

Correct, the bolts were misssing in mine. So I only have the nuts that are welded to the ROPs to go off of. I’ll just have to buy several bolts to try out.

Hello Mikester,

This is probably the size. Maybe you could buy one to try? Good luck with it!

Which bolts are you looking for, the mounting bolts or the ones that couple the 2 halves together? if the latter, parts diagrams show them to be 9/16x1 18UNF. The mounting bolts I am pretty sure they are metrics they tread into the axle housing. I could try to back some out of my cab mounts if needed. But maybe I can tell by just looking and checking the head of the bolt and the length.
