Hey yall!

I have a b2601 and have KTAC but my dealer called me saying that i can extend my manufacturer insurance on the kubota. Is it worth it? Would the KTAC cover my needs while paying on it?

thanks everyone!

KTAC will cover any non-intentional mishaps that occur during your loan period. Is what the dealer is offering you an extended warranty (orange protection program)?

We kept our KTAC policies going for many years because it was great coverage, such as including off-premisis use, etc. Not the cheapest but we thought it worthwhile.

However I read somewhere they had more recently changed the coverage terms somewhat. Check out the current coverage details from KTAC.

If I recall correctly, you now need to be financing your tractor through Kubota Financial to be eligible for KTAC.

I've never bought extended warranties and never wished I had. 50% of the extended warranty cost is a commission to the sales person.
For compact tractors, as long as you are mechanically inclined, I agree. My opinion with cars/trucks has changed over the years now that most things are controlled by computers.

Extended warranties pay for mechanical failures like a blown engine. Casualty insurance pays for loss or physical damage such as theft or a tree falling on the equipment. Never thought extended warranties gave much value but having damage/loss coverage for expensive equipment is worthwhile for many folks.

I've purchased two since 2016 and both have saved me thousands after the manufacturers warranty expired. I always do my homework though and find a dealership online with only minimal mark up. I understand however, that this may not be everyone's experience.

If you keep the tractor insured with KTAC after the load is paid, you can keep it covered with KTAC. If you let it lapse, then they won't cover it. I paid the load off 2 years ago and I still have my tractor covered with KTAC.
