I have a new LX2610 with a front mount LX2963 blower. The joystick control operates the chute rotate which utilizes the same operation that would be used for the loader bucket curl operation. The rotate left operates fine but for the rotate right I have to go past the R1 position and snap the lever over to the R2 position. In the R1 position I only hear a slight hydraulic noise. Manual says R1 is high flow and R2 is low flow. The dealer tells me that this is the normal operation for the snowblower and has been that way for 20 years. He must mean that they have had the two-position right operation that long. I removed the loader immediately after purchasing so I do not know if it operates correctly. Anyone with a similar set up? My first thought was that something went wrong when they installed the third function stick.

Your bucket dump uses a regenerative circuit in the R1 position. With a cylinder this supplies oil to both ports which extends the cylinder faster, but with less force. With a motor, it just stalls. It's working normally.

Thanks for the reply. So the loader curl will operate correctly for L1 and R1 operation. My B7200 does not have this situation since it only has a single right position and the chute rotation used a cylinder. No big deal with the blower but was concerned that the loader might not work correctly in the spring.

I'm not familiar with the 7200, but I think some loaders have only regenerative (no conventional double-acting) on the dump and only three positions. At least one person posted on here that their motor wouldn't work in reverse.

If its a B1630 loader with OEM valve the bucket spool is 3 position conventional dump, no regen.

The loader on my B7200 is not a Kubota and has a 3 position valve with two position bucket curl. In 1985 Canada did not import the Kubota loaders yet when I purchased it.
What is the purpose of re-generative? Not that I plan on doing so but what would happen if I connected the chute rotate to the third function?

Regen increases the speed of the cylinder extension.

It comes with a cost. It reduces actuator force and cannot be used for bidirectional motor control.

Without knowing what sort oc third function you have answering that question is difficult.

Thanks, The third function has two solenoids that are actuated by rwo pushbuttons on the control stick. Not sure if that is enough info.

I don't have a 3rd function, but I can tell you that your shute rotation to the right is normal in having to go all the way to the detent for it to rotate right. I don't know the hows or whys, but that is the way it works.

Typically that is a vanilla DA spool - no regen and that works fine with a motor.

Whoops - wrong quote but you get the idea.

Thanks again everyone. As said before I was mostly concerned that the loader would not operate correctly in the spring. Chute rotate is no issue as seldom used as compared to bucket curl.

This is normal for my BX25 blower as well. The rotate right has to go to the second indent to the right with the lever to operate. Just going to the first, nothing happens. It is all related to the "quick dump" function of the loader...

B2650, earlier model of the LX2610, and this is the way it works and is normal.

Full right, past the detent, activates the chute rotate. I have the cab and I have learned to put my hand in a certain position or I will smash my hand on the bar attached to the glass door.

I think this has to do with Kubota's ability to both dump/curl and lower the boom at the same time, unlike other tractors that can only do one function at a time, dump or lower.

I think not. It is a function of the regenerative circuit used on the bucket dump function.
