Need to bleed hydraulic lines for new attachment?

Got my new EA Wicked root grapple.... hooked it up but doesnt work....
Swapped the hydraulic lines from my 3rd function hydraulics still no go...
Will call EA tomorrow but thought I would try you guys also. Any advice?

I've never had to. Just activate the function several times and the air will bleed out of it quickly. Methinks you have a different issue.

I had no issues with my Wicked 55 when it arrived. Basically it was plug + play.

Is there an in line fuse on your 3rd function switch?

Assuming there's not some kind of shipping stop installed, there's not much on a grapple not to work. Check the couplings.

Otherwise the issue must be in the third function. Is it new? What kind?

I swapped the lines, no difference...
I had my old grapple on and did some minor work with it... 3rd func was fine.... I'll give them a shout in the am, thanks guys!

I had a bad coupling on mine that made it not work at high rpm the dealer changed the coupling and it works great now.

No need to bleed the lines, these systems self-purge air.

When you activated the 3rd function, did the engine labor? Did the line "jump" like they pressurized?

I need to look more closely at the couplers and if the lines look pressurized... might swap out the couplers on my old grapple see what happens...

Coupler issue. It fits but slightly different and fluid not flowing. Top is the one on my old grapple, bottom is my new one. You can push pull a little after new one connected. Frustrated as not sure what to do… right now use my old one!

Get the part numbers off both couplers and post them here.

One looks like a Poppet style and the other looks like Ball style.

As long as they are the same series and size that should not matter. I have some of both style here and they interconnect fine. Sounds more like they are differrent series or size. Part numbers will tell that story.

That is a Safeway SH20 series coupler. It interchanges with Parker/Pioneer SM and Eaton FD48 series couplers.

Now what is the part numer off the coupler that does not work?
