I am wondering if anyone makes weighted skid plates for MX5400 tractors. It seems like sacrificing a few inches of ground clearance would be worth it to lower the center of gravity. I would love to have 1000 lbs of weight under the tractor.

Why do you need it under the tractor? Why are wheel weights and loaded tires not enough?
If it must be under the tractor you will need to find a fabricator. If you want just a skid plate find someone in your area like this:http://www.southeasternmachineworks.net/welding.htm

I have wheel weights, loaded tires, and carry ballast low as I can on the 3 point. It still feels too tippy. Having weight below the axles would make me feel more comfortable. It is either that or outriggers

One reason.....'loaded' tires are a PITA, especially if using calcium (aka salt) and NO fun when you have to change them,say for flats...

Not trying to be nosey but what are you using the tractor for that it still feels tippy?
Do you have R1 tires and have the wheels set to the widest arrangement?

I live in NE KY, there is nothing approaching level ground here, everything requires careful planning to keep from approaching a hill at an angle. That and I am used to driving cars where my butt is practically dragging the ground. Driving the tractor is truly improving the strength and endurance of my anal sphincter muscle,
I have both filled tires and wheel weights. Undercarriage weights seem like they would be a good idea. I just wondered if anyone made a bolt on skid plate with the ability to add weights to it. Seemingly I will have to weld something up myself. Having 10 100 lbs suitcase weights under the tractor should bring the center of gravity down quite a bit.
A couple things, are the wheels out as wide as they can go? How much wheel weight do you have and fill tires. I live in SW Pa ( may God have mercy on our souls after this election) but I digress. The odd's of you tipping over unless you are sideways with the bucket full up are not that high. And yes Mr. Sphincter will pucker big time doing that.
One more thing you might want to check is tire pressure, they may look like they are solid but the walls can flex making you feel like it is going over and of course you are a couple feet higher than in a Vett .
Belly weights, while they sound like a good idea, if they were, there would be a market for them already, just like wheel weights and filled tires and suit case weights. I am not making light of the concerns you have, it just part of the learning curve. Every one with a tractor goes through at some point,,, my self included. Stay safe and think each movement through

One problem with making and selling 'belly weights' is you'd need a special plate for every series of tractor even if the actual weights are 'universal' to fit all adapters. Also the adapters would have to designed to not interfere with silly,little minor 'details' like access to driveshafts, safety switches, oil filters, etc... 'minor' details........
wheel weights and fluids are for the most part 'universal'...one size fits 99.44%.
The other minor detail is installation. Unless you've got a nice concrete floor and a 'lift truck'.... it'd be 'interesting' to mount 1000# steel under the belly of a tractor !
