Chip manufacturing should be on a different thread.

If we are honest, we know why diesel/fuel/gasoline prices are higher, and it started in Jan 2021. Vote!

Monday. Diesel was 5.56/gal. Today it is 6.67/gal. People who thing it doesn’t impact them because they use gasoline better wise up. It’s gonna be one of the most expensive winters ever be ever experienced.

I still can’t believe there are such differences among states. Taxes? Look at the prices in my area today. I can’t help but think there is gouging in locations where people heat with diesel and are filling their heater tanks.

Those are crazy low!! I haven't seen prices like that in over a year at least. WE are right about $5
You’re in AL? So I guess that shoots down my theory about gouging in areas that heat with diesel?

I'm in new Mexico and there is virtually no fuel oil heating as there is plentiful natural gas and diesel is over $5 a gallon at all the stations I regularly pass by.

In ABQ it is in the $3-4 range unless you go to the interstate truck stops that are more expensive. What part of NM are you in?

I think 🇨🇦 imports from the 🇺🇸
However, the great white North has a crap ton of distillate refining capacity IIRC.

There's only 1 station selling get diesel under $4 a gallon in new Mexico and that's probably an error.
I guess I'm in the part of new Mexico that sucks.

I checked last week with my off-road diesel supplier and they reported $4.35/gal. The ph no I called was their central office so while out driving yesterday I stopped-in at the pumphouse and asked the lady what was it “really” (since the local grocery sells ROAD diesel for $4.35 which included taxes…that I could apply for a refund.”

She took a look at me…walked over to her desk and grabbed TODAYS price-sheet…and last-weeks $4.35 is now $4.55.

I told her I would be re-filling my storage tank with road diesel at the grocery store!

No one else sells OR near you? I had a hard time finding it but did. At an Exxon no less. 52 cents less than road fuel. The Quarels close to me sells it but it's not cheaper unless you have their card.

Taxed diesel was $5.09 here yesterday. Off road is about .35 less.
