Wire gauge

Would someone be kind enough to measure their top link hook so I can use it to fabricate a new one for my B3200? Looking for the gauge of wire used. I imagine any B or L series would be a similar size. This is for the hook that holds the 3-point top link up when not in use. Thanks

Given its made in Japan I would hazard that is 5mm (.197") rod.

JD folks are used to that…. it’s the same response they get from their dealers and the JD proprietary software.

I'm going to do the same thing. I want to adapt the 54" blade off my JD430 to my BX. I have all the mounts that go on the 430, and once a couple of other projects are finished up, I'm going to get'er done.
What measurement(s) do you need? I think the 425 and 430 use the same attachment, and my 430 is in the shop with the snow blower on it.

Just needed a height reference like how high is the center of the top hole that the blade mounting bracket pin snaps into. I guesstimated based on various photos I could find that had a decent angle. My brackets are drilled. Just need to make one more cut, dress the brackets, paint, buy the top hydraulic 4in1 bracket and new hoses, and flush the old hydraulic fluid. I’ll post pictures in the modification thread when I’m done, hopefully before the first snow!
