purchased a b1400 with a bad clutch ! turns out it is a grey market tractor, any way found a guy to work on it he replaced the clutch got it home it started making alot of noise mid stream there and wouldnt move I took it back he said he put a new pressure plate in it this time it lasted long enough to clean up limb debris then began slipping badly again took it back to mechanic he said the pressure plate had broken finger and sheared off rivets ? anyway by this time its been at the shop longer than home ! finally got it home and im getting some klinking and slight jerking intermittently so i parked it. does anyone have a clue ? I believe my mechanic is competent and experienced ?

I respectfully disagree with your assessment of your mechanic. He may have strong skill with one type of vehicle but not small tractors.
When you said initially he replaced the clutch, that can mean many things. Do you have an invoice showing parts bought?
Do you have any photos of parts being installed and also of failed parts?
